In a recent entry we asked our readers if they believed panoramic mapping and advertising technology (like EveryScape’s) would become widely used. The result?
Of those who thought it would become widely used, we received the following comments:
“I think it’s a great idea and would benefit users and advertisers, but both groups would have to aggressively mobilized to use the service.”
“Not sure to what extent it will be used, but expect that mapping views will become more available as more hand-held GPS devices hit the market. The localized ads will be more widely used than the interior building mapping – IMHO>”
Please bear in mind that the total number of responses (20) does not make this informal survey statistically significant. However, it does reinforce our optimism that we will see many interesting applications of this technology. Stay tuned . . .
